Sign and Play - Nursery Rhymes
Communication Junction is excited to offer Sign and Play -Nursery Rhymes! Each weekly class in this curriculum is designed around a favorite nursery rhyme such as Hey Diddle Diddle, Jack and Jill, and Humpty Dumpty, and will include signs related to the nursery rhyme, tips on language development, and how to incorporate it into your family’s daily routine.
To best serve our learners, classes are divided into three groups:
- Baby (0-36 months)
- Toddler/Multi-Age (0-5.5 years)
- Preschool (3-5.5 years).
Cost: $150 for the first child + $50 for each additional sibling
Registration: Opens on 4/15 for the general public at www.communicationjunction.net/registration
Classes Begin: The week of June 1st
Location: Held at our classroom in Peoria
Duration: 8 weeks with a one-week summer break (varies by class)

Saturday Story Time (Outdoors)
Warmer weather means our Sign at the Park series is back! We are excited to be meeting at Donovan Park on the 1st Saturday of the month. Join us for a 30-minute outdoor story time filled with stories, songs, rhymes, movement, and bubbles.
We’ll meet near the picnic tables by Cyd’s, and families are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on for a relaxing and enjoyable time with your little ones.
- Cost: $5/family (cash) or $7/family (Venmo)
- Rain Location: Communication Junction Classroom
- Time: 9:00 AM
No pre-registration needed—just show up and enjoy a delightful morning in the park!

Stroll + Sign
Stroll + Sign: Stroll + Sign 2025 is here! Join us for a 30-minute self-paced walk (bring your strollers, bikes, scooters, wagons, etc.) along the Peoria Riverfront. After the walk your little ones will play and enjoy a short Sign and Sing Story Time with Communication Junction!
We will meet at Liberty Park and parking is available in the large lot in front of RC Outfitters/Rhythm Kitchen. (rain location will be the Riverfront Museum but check social media for any changes)
Snacks will be provided weekly for the children by local vendors and businesses. Coffee will be available for purchase on some mornings throughout the summer from Faire Coffee!
